Project Brief

The brief was to create an interface that would aid a frictionless and clean experience for customers as well as employees of this NBFC. The products centred around lengthy journeys which required to be clearly communicated.

 

I was responsible for establishing a design style and carrying it forward into three separate responsive digital products as well as creating a component library for consistency.

Design

Being a part of designing these offerings proved to be an education in banking and finance terms as well as practices.

 

This project was an exercise in guiding the user's eye and therefore their decisions while also making them feel safe and sure of what they were doing. 

Visual design system and UI elements 

Iterations

Lengthy journeys required that we designed the environment of the app in keeping with a transparency that the users would feel secure in. One fundamental scenario was navigating through long application journeys that required multiple documents.

We wanted to make sure that the users had a clear idea of where they are in the journey at all times along with the ability to go back and change things or save applications.  As a result the app environment, navigation & progress trackers became quite important from the get go. Here is how they evolved iteratively, through user & client feedback:
